My daughter wanted diner food. Based on a quick glance, Skylight seemed like a good option. We had a group of 5 and came prepared to split tables. Instead we were welcomed and seated promptly on a busy Sunday morning. Service was immediate. The menu was one of the most extensive I have ever seen. We ordered a variety of breakfast/lunch options, and they all appeared in what felt like 10 minutes. Every single item surpassed our expectations for taste. It was all delicious! When the bill came, we were even more impressed with the cost for the quality of food we received. Will suggest this place to everyone visiting. One of the best dining experiences I have had in years!

It's simply awesome. This restaurant should be 5 stars all the way. This is an old school style diner, but the food is terrific. I had the NY strip and eggs with fruit salad. My steak was cooked a perfect medium, not overdone as many diners do. Eggs were perfect and served with fresh fruit salad (extra $). Coffee was good, hot and plentiful. My only drawback was I didn't have the time to try more. The French toast, eggs Benedict, pancakes, and tuna salad platter all looked really appetizing. This is just a block from Moynihan train station- an easy walk and service was fast.

Order mushroom omelette and it serve in 8 mins. It serves very warm and I like the taste as no taste at all. Please don’t get me wrong as I can see they will prefer you add pepper or salt in your level, it is good as also not oily at all They did refill few times coffee which I like very much Staffs is friendly and cheerful at all. Clean place and really good at all. Recommend if you are looking for place they act fast

I’ve been here a few times, and it’s always very consistent. The food comes out hot and fresh, the service is excellent, and it’s very clean. It’s in a bit of a touristy area, but the prices are surprisingly reasonable. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood.

I absolutely loved this diner. This was right down the street from my hotel so it was an easy walk. Both times they were busy but I was seated quickly and my order was taken right away. The food was excellent! I had the Nutella waffle with bananas the first time and the 2x2 lumberjack with pancakes the second time. The food was quick to come out and the wait staff was attentive. Next time I come to New York I will make sure to take others here as well.

The salad and sandwich were good quality and big portions. The deserts were average and I would not recommend the ice-cream, it felt stale and had icicles in it. Overall, a unexpected place for good big portion food for an affordable price.

Went here as a central meeting place with family. Easy to find and came highly rated. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The portions are huge! Be aware you will most likely need a to-go box! Our waiter was friendly and made great suggestions on food. The food is very light on seasoning so adding a little salt and pepper really improved the taste. The place is made to look like an old style diner and it is very cool . However it was not as clean as it could be. A little more attention on keeping all that chrome clean would go a long way The dessert menu is fantastic and the portions are huge! One serving is enough for four people.

One of my favorite diners in Manhattan in a great location close to Madison Square Garden. Yummy food, clean spaces and quick and friendly service. Good quality of food, large choice of dishes and fair prices.
